On Smackdown Live this week, we saw the return of both John Cena and Rusev to WWE Television. Cena has been off for the past few weeks as he filmed a movie. Rusev on the other hand is coming back from a shoulder injury.

Cena challenged Rusev to a flag match for the July 4th episode of Smackdown Live. Rusev rejected the idea, saying that it would happen on his terms.
Daniel Bryan would make the match official during commercial break for Battleground:
