It was reported this week that WWE will be cancelling ‘Talking Smack’ as a weekly show on the WWE Network. Instead of airing after 205 Live, the show will only be on after Pay-Per-Views. This will be similar to what WWE already does with ‘RAW Talk’.

There has been a public outcry after the news broke. Fans are upset that the show will not be weekly anymore. Host Renee Young even expressed her disappointment with the show getting the axe. So why did WWE make the decision? Why wasn’t 205 Live cancelled?
Dave Meltzer on Twitter provided us with some more details on the cancellation of the show and why 205 Live wasn’t canned as well.
Meltzer was asked why it was cancelled and the answer was simple:

On why WWE didn’t cancel 205 Live, Dave says that it would be a lot more complicated to drop the entire division:
