This week’s episode of Smackdown Live takes place in Richmond, Virginia. The show will feature fallout from this weekend’s Battleground Pay-Per-View. The show will be Smackdown’s first step in building towards Summerslam next month.

Here are some spoilers for what matches and segments you can expect on the show tonight.
– According to a report from PWinsider.com, we will find out who Jinder Mahal’s Summerslam opponent will be tonight. The report says Cena is likely but not to count out Shinsuke Nakamura either.
– Chad Gable will also apparently be facing Rusev tonight on Smackdown Live.
– A rematch between Nakamura and Baron Corbin will apparently also happen tonight.
– Also, from WWE.com’s preview of Smackdown, they tease some controversy in the finish from the U.S Title match. Expect this to be a storyline tonight:
“WWE Battleground had more than its share of controversy, including the United States Championship battle between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. In managing to reverse a submission hold by The Phenomenal One, KO scored a surprise three-count to reclaim his title and, perhaps, the right to once again call himself The New Face of America”
