Jim Ross was recently interviewed by his old friend Steve Austin for his podcast: ‘The Steve Austin Show’. The duo spoke on a wide variety of topics, including about the current landscape of WWE in 2017.

One of the topics that came up during the interview had to do with Samoa Joe. This lead to Ross picking a couple of big matches that he would book for Wrestlemania if he was in charge of WWE at the moment. He says his first choice would have been Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe but it already happened at ‘Great Balls of Fire’.
Ross mentioned that he thinks Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar could happen at Wrestlemania 34 and he would like to see that:
“I know that somewhere down the road it’s Strowman and Lesnar. That’s foolproof, right? And I’d probably save that till WrestleMania. I know at one point, they talked about doing it at SummerSlam. To me, the most match I’m most interested in seeing someday is Lesnar and Strowman. I’m curious as to what they would get out of that match, and how athletic the big boy would be, and how Brock would be. There’s a two-way street here.”
Ross also said he thinks AJ Styles will be able to get the best out of Shinsuke Nakamura and would like to see it at Wrestlemania.
“You felt something in the crowd at [WWE Money In The Bank] with Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ. The fans that’ve followed their career know they’ve got a great history. And they’ve, I’ve seen it, had one of the best matches I’ve ever seen with Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ. We haven’t seen that yet in Shinsuke, but that WrestleMania match would be a great wrestling match.”
