WWE Network Sees Drop In Subscribers Since April Of 2017

WWE released their second quarter earnings report for 2017 this morning. The company announced an increase in revenue from the first quarter of 2017 (first quarter results were released after Wrestlemania 33).

While revenue increased, WWE announced a drop in WWE Network subscribers from quarter one to quarter two. Here are some of the details and numbers.

It was announced that the WWE Network has 1,630,000 subscribers at the moment. The breakdown is 1,158,000 million domestically and 410,000 international subscribers. They did not specify how many of these were paid subscribers.

After Wrestlemania 33, WWE announced that they had 1,949,000 total subscribers. Of these, 1,661,000 were paid subscribers.

It was announced during the call that the company is expecting a drop in next quarter’s numbers as well. They used in the 1,5400,000 range.

The 1,630,000 number from the second quarter did represent a 8% increase from the same quarter last year.
