Last week saw two big surprises happen on WWE Television. The first was the Great Khali returning at Battleground to help Jinder Mahal retain his WWE Championship. Khali hadn’t been seen on WWE programming since 2012 and it was a pretty shocking return.

Two days later, Chris Jericho made his surprise return to WWE on Smackdown Live. Jericho had been gone since April focusing on his band: Fozzy. He was defeated by AJ Styles in a match that also included Kevin Owens.
So what the heck is going on with Khali and Jericho moving forward? Here is what we know.
According to Dave Meltzer on his Daily Update for F4Wonline.com, neither Jericho or Khali are advertised for any upcoming WWE shows. This includes live events and television appearances:
“Great Khali and Chris Jericho are not advertised for anything including TV”
Does this mean both of their appearances were one-offs? Khali didn’t appear on Smackdown Live this week. Jericho also tweeted “#SeeYouAgain’ after Smackdown.
We will have to wait and see what happens and if WWE uses them this week on Smackdown.
