Roman Reigns Comments On How His Body Is Feeling After The Fatal 4-Way Match At Summerslam

Roman Reigns appeared on ESPN’s Sportscenter on Monday morning. This was less than 12 hours after the massive fatal 4-way match that he competed in at Summerslam. Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe were defeated at the event by Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.

Reigns was asked how his body is feeling after the big match. Here is what he had to say:

“I’m beat up. I feel like I’ve been in a car wreck. That was a big heavyweight bout and I sit at about 275 pounds, sometimes 280, and I was the smallest guy in the match. It felt like I was running into a wall every time,”

He also compared the physicality of the match to a football game:

“To be honest, it felt like I played a full game. That’s the one thing when I played at Georgia Tech, we didn’t always have the depth at D-line, so I had to play 60, 70 snaps. You get to a certain point and you’re exhausted and you get full body cramps and that’s the type of physicality that I felt [at SummerSlam]. If you look at the size of the guys we have, it’s pretty much like running into a Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman. Although I wasn’t able to pick up the win, it’s always impressive to be a part of SummerSlam here in Brooklyn,”
