Jinder Mahal Comments On WWE Fans Booing The Indian National Anthem On Smackdown

Jinder Mahal was recently interviewed by Al Arabiya English, where he spoke on a wide variety of topics. One of these topics was the Smackdown Live episode a few weeks ago when fans booed the Indian national anthem.

The 15th of August is a national holiday in India to celebrate the country’s independence. As a result, there was a very special ‘Indian Independence Day Celebration’ on Smackdown Live.

This celebration included Bollywood dancers and an older woman who sang the Indian national anthem. Some fans were upset after the segment with the live crowd booing the national anthem.

Here is what Jinder had to say on the crowd booing the Indian national anthem:

“It was a very small negative reaction but overall everyone was very happy. I think that’s the first time that the WWE national anthem has ever been sung on such a huge platform. I think everyone was very proud that our culture has been showed. I want to make sure that everything we do is authentic, is the real thing. Very few people are offended by it.”
