Xavier Woods Injury Update

You have probably heard the news by now that Xavier Woods was injured on Monday night at a WWE live event. The referee tossed up the dreaded ‘X’ symbol to signify a serious injury. According to fans in attendance, it looked to be his knee and he seemed to be in a lot of pain.

Video footage came out and it didn’t look good at all. Luckily, we have some good news on the injury to report.

Woods hosted a live stream for his gaming channel: ‘Up Up Down Down’ prior to Smackdown. Xavier, Becky Lynch and Renee Young demoed the game: ‘WindJammers’ for the channel. During the stream, Xavier provided an injury update.

According to him, he sprained his MCL.

So what does that mean? He seemed to be in very good spirits and that means it was a lot less serious than it could have been. Becky told him that he would be fine in about a month as she had recently been dealing with something similar and wrestled through it.

That means that the injury won’t be keeping Xavier out for too long. At first glance from the video it looked like it could have been a lot worse. Sitting out for a few weeks isn’t ideal but he is lucky it wasn’t a torn ACL or something that would have kept him out for months.
