The big story from TLC was Kurt Angle’s return to the ring. This was Angle’s first match in a WWE ring in 11 years. He had previously spoke about his desire to return to the ring and it finally happened.

WWE released a behind-the-scenes video of Kurt getting ready for the match. As you can imagine, a lot of things were going through his mind. Angle was brought to tears when talking about how much it meant to him.
Specifically, how much it meant for him to wrestle in front of his young children:
“The one thing I do think about are my kids, especially the three youngest ones. They’ve never seen Daddy perform. I have a six-year-old, a four-year-old, and a one-year-old. For the first time they’re going to see their dad not be the General Manager, or not, y’know, just sit there at home and play with them and take them to school. They’re gonna see Daddy in a different light, and for me…for me that’s special”
