The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s biggest Pay-Per-View events of the year. The event has turned into a major weekend on the WWE calendar. This includes the Rumble, an NXT Takeover event, RAW and Smackdown Live.

The host city for the 2019 Royal Rumble weekend has officially been set.
The event will take place at Chase Field in Phoenix on January 27th, 2019.
WWE executive vice president of special events John Saboor had this to say in an interview with AZCentral:
“We have an incredibly rich history and heritage of presenting WWE events in the Valley of the Sun. In many respects, this serves as an exciting opportunity to work with longstanding and new partners in Phoenix to create four nights of memories.”
Saboor estimates that there will be 40,000 seats available for the event. He also cites the proximity between Phoenix’s venues as a reason for the decision:
“One thing that is a clear advantage is the close proximity between Talking Stick Resort Arena and Chase Field. It makes for a seamless experience for our fans. You are able to fly into the airport, travel to downtown and stay in a hotel, enjoy restaurants and shopping and transportation — all downtown.”

- Saturday, Jan. 26: NXT TakeOver at Talking Stick Resort Arena
- Sunday, Jan. 27: Royal Rumble at Chase Field
- Monday, Jan. 28: Monday Night Raw at Talking Stick Resort Arena
- Tuesday, Jan. 29: SmackDown Live at Talking Stick Resort Arena
