On Monday, the ticket website AXS advertised that the War Games match will be returning for the second year in a row at the NXT Takeover event on Survivor Series weekend. The weekend events take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The website advertised that: “the WWE NXT TakeOver event before Survivor Series will feature the second NXT War Games match”. We have a rumor killer to share with you.
F4WOnline is now reporting that according to WWE sources, this was an error. War Games is apparently NOT scheduled to return.
The post has now been completely removed from the AXS website.
There are two likely scenarios here:
1) Someone from AXS messed up and just assumed that War Games would be returning for the second year in a row.
2) Someone from AXS messed up and posted this way too early. WWE told them to take it down because it hasn’t been officially announced yet.
We will have to wait and see. For now, War Games isn’t returning.
