The second ‘Superstar Shake-Up’ is officially in the books and many Superstars have switched brands. WWE chose to do a Shake-Up for the second straight year instead of a full-blown draft.

So what do the wrestlers themselves prefer?
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, spoke to several wrestlers about the topic. He says that every wrestler he spoke to prefers the Shake-Up over the traditional draft.
Sapp says that the WWE stars who were switching brands were told beforehand. This is something that hasn’t always been the case. There are stories from the past where wrestlers would find out which show they had been drafted to at the same time as the audience. Sapp also says that some WWE stars were given the day off.
Here is a quote from an unnamed wrestler about companies working their own talent in the past:
“Not working the guys that are working for you is always a plus. It shouldn’t be a plus. It should just be the way things are, but for some reason that’s not always been just the way things are. I knew people who found out that TNA wanted to fire them after they were in that briefcase (Feast or Fired) match, and others who didn’t know they’d be changing shows until they saw it on air. That can change a lot for people,”
