We have an update on Riott’s injury and return to pass your way. It appears to be good news.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), the injury won’t keep Riott out of action for too long.
Meltzer says that Ruby will be out for a few weeks before getting evaluated at the end of the month. He says that she won’t be getting any surgery and it looks like she dodged a bullet because it is only a sprain.
This is great news considering knee injuries can usually be very bad. A torn MCL would have likely required her to get surgery and it would have kept her out for a few months. A sprain could keep her out of action for only a few weeks if everything goes to plan for her recovery.
We will let you know if we hear anything more about how her evaluation goes at the end of the month.
