You likely already know by now that Brian Christopher Lawler (better known to WWE fans as Grandmaster Sexay) passed away over the weekend. Brian spent several years in WWE and is the son of the legendary Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler.

Jerry made his first public comments about his son’s death in photo interview with FOX 13 News in Memphis.
According to FOX 13, Jerry says he rushed back to Memphis from North Carolina after finding out the news. He spent hours at the hospital, with family and friends, around his son’s bed. Jerry says that it was tough to see his son like that but he was “glad to hold his son’s hand when his heart stopped beating around 3:30 p.m.”
Lawler says he is appreciative for all of the support from wrestling fans over the past few days. The visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday.
Regarding the police investigation. Lawler stated that “there may be more to this than meets the eye” but could not comment further. Here is the video:
