The tragic news broke on Monday that Shad Gaspard has gone missing near Venice Beach. A riptide pulled Gaspard under and he instructed rescuers to save his 10-year-old-son first. That was the last time that anybody had seen him.

An unidentified body was found on Wednesday morning near the area. CBS LA’s Tina Patel is now reporting that lifeguards have confirmed the body to be Gaspard’s. Here is what she posted:
UPDATE: TMZ is also reporting that Gaspard has passed away.
