It was rumored that Kevin Owens’ contract with WWE was going to be expiring in January. There was a lot of speculation that Owens would potentially join some of his friends in AEW but that is not the case.
According to a report from Season Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Owens has re-signed with the company.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
Fightful learned several weeks ago that WWE was very interested in retaining Kevin Owens, and made him what sources in the company was “an excellent offer” to stay.
WWE sources that we spoke to said they were over the moon about retaining Owens.
Looks like we can officially stop the Owens to AEW speculation.
