Backstage Rumor On Why Bobby Lashley Was Really Pulled From The Elimination Chamber

Bobby Lashley didn’t end up taking part in the Elimination Chamber match for his WWE Title. Seth Rollins put Austin Theory through Lashley’s pod, which led to Lashley getting injured. During the match, it was announced that Lashley was placed into concussion protocol and wasn’t allowed to compete.

We have an interesting rumor to pass your way. This spot at the Elimination Chamber may have been done to cover up a real injury from Lashley.

Former WWE writer, Kazeem Famuyide, provided some interesting notes on The Ringer Wrestling Show. During this, Kazeem noted that he has heard Lashley is really dealing with a shoulder injury and could be out for 4 months.

Here is what Kazeem said (via WrestlingNews.co):

“I have under good authority that Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match. If you’ve noticed, he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble.

“From what I’m told, it’s for at least 4 months. Shoulder surgery. I’m hearing that he might not even make it to Mania.”

My Take:

  • I hope not as it would suck for Lashley to have to miss Wrestlemania. Would make sense though as to why they wrote him out of the match.

We will provide an update as soon as it comes in.
