Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman Went Off Script During RAW Moment

During this week’s episode of RAW, Paul Heyman cut a promo and announced that Brock Lesnar will be entering the Royal Rumble match as the first entrant.

On his podcast, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler revealed that the end of the segment was unscripted.

For those who missed it, Heyman and Brock walked over to Lawler and Vic Joseph on commentary while they weren’t paying attention. Brock put his hand on Lawler’s shoulder and Heyman told him to “talk nice” about the WWE Champion. Lawler says that this moment was not in the RAW script.

Here is what he said on the podcast (h/t to Sportskeeda):

“We could just see the cameras and we just assumed that they [the viewers] are seeing us, and all of a sudden I feel this hand on my shoulder and I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ and it’s Brock Lesnar, and he’s brushing aside and walking past me.

“Then I look over to my right and there, of course, is Paul Heyman, and he said, ‘Come on, come on, King, talk nice, talk nice,’ and that was totally off the top of his head and I had no idea they were going to be there.”

My Take:

  • A fun little tidbit from the show this week. I wonder if Heyman and Lesnar were just trying to “rib” Lawler in that moment.
