Elias recently turned babyface on Monday Night RAW. This was a bit of a surprise when it first happened as Elias was doing great as a heel and was able to generate a lot of boos from fans.
According to a new rumor, WWE scrapped some big plans for Elias.
According to @Wrestlevotes, Elias was originally planned to win the Intercontinental Championship. This would have come after Dean Ambrose turned heel on Seth Rollins and cost him the Title. Here was the Tweet:
Interesting tidbit for those who like this type of thing: prior to all of RAWs creative plans going up in flames last month, the original Ambrose heel turn angle was to see him cost Rollins the IC title. Who was scheduled to win the strap you ask? Elias.

This would have been Elias’ first Championship in WWE.
