Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Reason Why WWE Did Hell In A Cell Matches On RAW & Smackdown
WWE did two Hell in a Cell matches on cable. This includes Roman Reigns vs Rey Mysterio and Xavier Woods vs Bobby Lashley. According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, this was done in order to give the USA Network and FOX something extra for their broadcasts. It was also done to try and grab the attention of fans before live crowds return.

PWInsider.com is the prime reasons we have seen HIAC bouts on broadcast/cable TV was to give WWE’s TV partners something extra as well as to try and grab fans’ attention as the company builds towards the return of live audiences next month.
My Take:
- I enjoyed the extra Hell in a Cell matches that we got. I was surprised though that they took Roman Reigns off the PPV and put his match on Smackdown. Not a complaint, I was just surprised by the decision.
4) Aleister Black’s Future
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Aleister Black is expected to head to AEW. This comes after rumors started circulating that WWE is interested in bringing him back.
Here is what Meltzer said:
“Obviously, he’s got, unofficially, because you’re not allowed to negotiate and all that, but I certainly heard, at one point, not many days ago to expect him in AEW. Officially there’s no deal and there can’t be a deal until end of August before he can go, we’ll see.”
My Take:
- I always thought that AEW would be a good fit for Black. I wish him the best of luck if this ends up happening.
