Rumor Roundup: Backstage Note On AJ Styles’ Future, Wrestlemania 38 Betting Odds, More

3) WWE Planning More RAW vs NXT Feuds

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning to do more NXT and RAW feuds moving forward.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“The strategy that they’ve had for whatever it’s been, several weeks, when they revamped everything, was they wanted more angles on Raw. Grayson Waller-AJ Styles was the first one. They want an angle on Raw at all times on NXT. So this is the second one, and then this one runs its course after April, Ziggler’s probably gonna be the guy until the Stand & Deliver show [on WrestleMania weekend] then they’ll use another guy. The idea is to always have a main roster guy, preferably from the Raw side, doing an angle on NXT. You do the angle on both Raw and NXT with the idea of that’s one of the ways to build up the NXT rating, which thus far hasn’t worked.”

My Take:

  • I think it makes sense to try and get more viewers for NXT.

2) Early Betting Odds For Wrestlemania 38

According to BetOnline, Brock Lesnar is the current betting favorite to beat Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 38.

It is very close though. Brock is listed at -130 odds and Roman is listed at -110 odds as of writing this.

My Take:

  • I have Reigns winning in my predictions but I could definitely see Brock winning. Should be interesting.
