Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On Daniel Bryan (Part 1)
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Daniel Bryan. Meltzer says that WWE mentioning Daniel on television as of late is no indication that he is coming back.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Regarding all the mentions of Daniel Bryan on television of late, we’re told this isn’t an indication he’s coming back. Nobody really knows what he’s doing past if he’s made a secret deal with any company, they are keeping it a secret until doing a dramatic reveal when they want to. They keep mentioning his name because he is part of the story of building Reigns vs. Edge, since they are using him as the reason Edge didn’t already win the title”
My Take:
- I think that Daniel will eventually return to WWE but who knows at this point.
4) Backstage Note On Daniel Bryan (Part 2)
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is now removing Daniel Bryan from some of their current projects.
Here is what Alvarez said:
“I’m not sure if it’s a video game or what it is, but one of these projects that involves, obviously the wrestlers in WWE, they were alerted today that this person, this person, this person, this person is no longer with WWE and one of the people they mentioned was Daniel Bryan. Realistically he’s not with the company. That is also an indication that at this point, take him out of whatever project, because he’s out of the company.”
My Take:
- They could also be saving Daniel’s return for a major surprise down the road, so we will have to wait and see. The idea of Bryan going to AEW is definitely intriguing, just for the drama alone.
