Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Why Rey Mysterio Missed RAW
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rey Mysterio was hurt. This is why Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs The Street Profits didn’t happen a few weeks ago on RAW.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Rey Mysterio was banged up from matches a few weeks back and had to take a week off but obviously returned the next week. When WWE announced the Street Profits vs. Mysterios match on 12/13 was off, and said it was due to injuries on both sides, it was Rey being hurt and Ford being out of action for health related reasons
My Take:
- Makes sense. I was wondering why that match just didn’t happen after being advertised.
4) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1 (Part 1)
It looks like Big E was originally planned to retain the WWE Championship at Day 1. This was prior to Brock Lesnar getting added to the match.
The hint comes after FOX Tweeted (and deleted) a photo that had Brock’s image but said ‘Big E defeated Lashley, Rollins, and Owens’:
My Take:
- I had Big E retaining the title in my predictions so this would have made sense prior to Brock getting added.
