Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Plans For Gable Steveson

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is potentially planning for Gable Steveson to have his debut match at Wrestlemania 38.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

It was known that the company wants to feature Steveson all year on the show before the idea is of him starting as a regular after the college wrestling season ends in March, with the idea of a WrestleMania debut.

My Take:

  • This would be the right place for him to make his debut based on his pedigree. Will be lots of pressure though as expectations will be high.

4) Backstage Note On Harry Smith’s Status

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Harry Smith was backstage for the latest WWE Draft episode. He has not been selected to a brand and has been away recently after contracting COVID.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

My Take:

One of the reasons Harry Smith hasn’t been seen since he did the one dark match with Austin Theory is that he contracted COVID. He’s fine now and was backstage for the draft show in Baltimore

  • I am interested to see what WWE does with Smith. I could see him on the main roster or on NXT UK.
