Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On Mustafa Ali
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE does not intent to release Mustafa Ali from his contract. This comes after he recently requested his release from WWE.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
“WWE doesn’t intend to grant Mustafa Ali his release. The term “value” was used in reasoning behind keeping him under contract. There are no working plans in creative for Ali, & there is little correspondence, if any, between the two sides. Ali still has “well over a year, at least” on his WWE deal.”
My Take:
- I feel bad for Ali if WWE doesn’t plan to use him. He is a talented guy and things just haven’t worked out.
4) New WWE PPV Name?
WWE has recently filed to trademark the term “WWE Sunday Stunner.”
This has led to speculation that the company is considering it as a new show name, possibly even as a PPV name.
My Take:
- Would make sense as a PPV name. I am interested to see what happens.
