Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) The Plans For Rhea Ripley
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is planning to push Rhea Ripley as a babyface moving forward.
Here is what Johnson wrote about the plans for Rhea:
Going forward, Rhea Ripley is considered a babyface. This had quietly happened over the last few weeks but we are told it was made clear internally that going forward, she is now 100% a babyface.
My Take:
- I feel like she fits better as more of a Tweener type of character. We will have to see how it goes with her on the receiving end of a pure babyface push.
4) The Scrapped Plans For Gronk In WWE
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Gronk was originally planned to wrestle a tag team match with Mojo Rawley at Summerslam. These plans fell through after Gronk decided to return to the NFL.
Here is what Sapp wrote
WWE sources tell Fightful that Gronkowski’s run was to lead to something at Summerslam 2020 with Mojo Rawley, with the line of thinking being that Gronkowski would be a huge draw in the Boston area where he played for years.
My Take:
- That would have been fun. I am not sure how Gronk would do in a full match but I would have liked to see it.
