Rumor Roundup: Changes Coming To The WWE Draft, Plans For Sonya Deville, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Update On Tegan & Shotzi

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart are now officially members of the Smackdown roster. Their appearance on the latest episode was not planned to be a one-off.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart have been officially called up to the Smackdown roster, PWInsider.com has confirmed.  The NXT stars’ appearance on Friday was not planned to be a one and done.

My Take:

  • I am happy for Shotzi and Tegan and hope that they both have a lot of success.

4) WWE Cutting Back On Extras

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has cut down on the number of independent talent that they will be using for their upcoming return to live events.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

WWE has reached out to a number of independent talents booked for extra work in the weeks to come and unbooked them, telling them the company has reduced the planned number of outside talents they will be utilizing for TV work.  In some cases, they will be booking just two extras.  One would think this is a cost-cutting move as the company begins to feel out the process of returning to the road weekly.

My Take:

  • WWE brass has been cutting costs all over the place, so I can’t say that I am surprised.
