Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On WWE Bringing Back Goldberg
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast shared a conversation with someone that he had in WWE. During this, they spoke about WWE’s decision to bring back Goldberg.
Here is what Zarian Tweeted:
Some more notes from my convo this morning with someone at WWE. Here is the reality WWE NEEDS casual fans. Every single analytic indicator that the company uses shows that Goldberg is a big draw for them. “WE” may not like him returning but the majority of WWE’s fans do.
The reality is we are the minority when it comes to Pro Wrestling viewership. Twitter is a fraction of how many people actually follow WWE content.
My Take:
- I guess that I agree. I hate watching Goldberg matches in 2021. While saying that, he probably helps sell tickets so that is why they keep bringing him back. It makes sense from a business standpoint but I don’t have any interest in seeing him wrestle anymore.
4) The Plans For Reginald
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is planning to push Reginald as a babyface moving forward.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Going forward, new WWE 24/7 Champion Reginald will be positioned as a babyface, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The plan (and this can always change) is to use his athletic background as a former Cirque du Soliel performer to spotlight and utllize him as a unique, different personality.
My Take:
- Reginald seems to be a talented performer. I am excited to see what his future holds.
