Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) WWE Had Interest In Impact Star For The Main Roster
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE had interest in signing Moose and putting him right on the main roster. Moose ended up signing with IMPACT instead.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
NXT sources have told us that there was interest from the WWE and NXT side in Moose ahead of his free agency period this year. We’re told that there were hope that Moose could get signed and head straight to the main roster, but IMPACT made a huge play to get him signed before WWE could officially negotiate with him, so the offer never ended up being made.
My Take:
- Moose’s new deal with IMPACT expires in 2023, so it looks like WWE will have to wait and make another play for him in a few years.
4) Backstage Note On Aleister Black
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Aleister Black signing with WWE has not been discussed as of late. This comes after his wife, Zelina Vega, returned to the company.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Finally, as of now, Aleister Black is not back with the company. Like with Vega, there were some who felt his release was premature and have pushed for him to return but we haven’t heard of him signing or even in deep discussions to return. It may be he wants to see how the waters are outside of WWE and if I am him, with AEW, New Japan, etc. I’d certainly want to see what is out there on the open market.
My Take:
- I think Aleister is going to try his luck with AEW. We will have to wait and see though as I didn’t think Zelina would return and she did.
