Rumor Roundup: Kyle O’Reilly’s WWE Future, Two RAW Superstars Praised Backstage, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Johnny Gargano’s WWE Future

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE has been in contract extension talks with Johnny Gargano since October. His deal is up soon and WWE wants to keep him.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

Fightful has learned from WWE sources that contract extension talks started in October between NXT Triple Crown Champion Johnny Gargano and WWE. Our sources didn’t indicate one way or another whether they believe that Gargano will remain with the company, but did note that WWE wants to keep him onboard, and applauded his work with The Way before the group split, even mentioning that he helped progress several new stars even if he does leave.

My Take:

  • I think Gargano will stay. I don’t know why but I see him as a loyal WWE guy.

4) Two RAW Superstars Praised Backstage

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Dana Brooke and Doudrop were praised backstage after this week’s RAW. This came after the women’s tag team match that took place during the show.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

There were a lot of people backstage who were thrilled with the women’s tag, feeling a lot of talents rose to the occasion after being given three segments during Raw.  Dana Brooke was praised for taking the big bump to the outside from the top rope where she was caught by the other women in the bout.  Doudrop was given a lot of praise backstage for her work as well.   The plan was to use the bout to get over Liv Morgan as a challenger for Becky Lynch next week and the feeling was that they all accomplished that goal.

My Take:

  • It was a pretty fun match I thought. Props to all of the ladies involved.
