5) WWE Hiring Shorter Referees
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is looking to hire shorter referees moving forward. This will be to help their talent look larger in the ring.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“In another way to make talent look taller, there is a directive to hire shorter referees.”
My Take:
- This is hilarious but also seems like a great tactic by WWE. It would make their guys look much bigger if they had a bunch of 5 foot 4 referees.
4) Vince McMahon Heads Back To Saudi Arabia
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon went back to Saudi Arabia this week.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Vince McMahon went back to Saudi Arabia this week. This was not a sudden thing as McMahon had planned to fly over for the show, return home and then go back the next week for more business related discussions.”

- Likely planning the next few PPV events in the country.
