5) Women’s Match Cut From Smackdown
According to John Pollock on Twitter, WWE scrapped a Women’s match from this week’s episode of Smackdown. It was going to be Zelina Vega and Carmella vs Liv Morgan and Toni Storm but the match got cut from the show.
Here is what Pollock Tweeted:
Zelina Vega & Carmella were scheduled for a tag match on SmackDown against Liv Morgan & Toni Storm – the match was cut due to time, per source
My Take:
- Always sucks when we don’t get a women’s match. I hope we get this tag match on the next show.
4) Segment Cut From Smackdown
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE also scrapped a planned segment between Kevin Owens and Happy Corbin from Smackdown.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
That segment was cut during the actual show, while a planned segment between Kevin Owens and Happy Corbin was cut from the program this afternoon.
My Take:
- My guess is Seth Rollins vs Edge went longer than expected. It was a banger of a match though so hard to complain.
