Rumor Roundup: Piper Niven’s New Name, Quality Of WWE Programming To Improve? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) NXT To Bring Back More Released Superstars?

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), NXT has discussed bringing in Superstars who were recently released from WWE. It was noted that one of the recently released Superstars pitched to go to NXT but that got shot down by management.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

There were numerous releases over the past 14 months that NXT had discussed trying to bring in, but didn’t end up happening, and actually at least one of the recently released stars pitched for a return to NXT but were shot down.

My Take:

  • Names like Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy come to mind as guys who would do well in NXT again.

4) Quality Of WWE Programming To Improve?

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, there is a lot of exciting things for WWE in the pipeline. It was noted that there should be a quality turnaround in the product by the end of the year.

While vague, this is definitely an exciting tease for WWE fans:

Hearing about a lot of exciting stuff on the WWE side of Pro Wrestling.

Too early to post anything but honestly I am very hopeful we will see a quality turnaround by the end of the year.

I hate being vague. I generally don’t post things like this but Im very hopeful right now.

My Take:

  • This is vague but Zarian has been on the money over the past several weeks, so I trust him. I am looking forward to seeing what comes of it.
