Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Update On How WWE Ticket Sales Are Going
According to Dave Meltzer on Twitter, WWE is doing great in terms of ticket sales right now.
Here is what Meltzer Tweeted:
WWE is extremely hot right now as well, wasn’t immediate from day one advances but combination of hot crowds on TV and Cena and it’s doing great levels, not close to late 90s but hottest in years.
My Take:
- Not too surprised as fans have been cooped up inside for so long and have not been able to attend events. The question will be if they can keep up this momentum for several months.
4) Backstage Note On Adam Cole
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE has yet to offer Adam Cole a contract extension. While saying that, an offer is planned from a person of influence in the company.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
“Much has been made of Adam Cole’s contract situation with the company. Most, including Cole we’re told, had hoped to keep the situation quiet and it seemed there was an understanding that it’d be kept close to the vest. Others, when finding out the situation, argued that the possible expiry of the deal should be publicized, considering the competitive nature of the wrestling world. By the end of July, word had spread that Adam Cole’s new “agreement” was set to run through Summerslam. We can confirm that Cole has not formally been offered a full on, new contract by WWE as of yet, but were told “it’s obviously planned” by a person of influence within WWE.”
My Take:
- A safe guess is that the person of influence in WWE is Triple H. My guess is that he won’t want to lose Cole and will offer him a massive deal.
