According to Jon Alba on Twitter, WWE’s merchandise team was told only 48 hours before Summerslam that Becky Lynch was returning. This shows that her return was something that was last-minute and not planned in advance.
Here is what Alba Tweeted:
A source indicates to me the #WWE merchandise team was notified around 48 hours in advance of SummerSlam of Becky Lynch’s return, so that should give you some indication as to how quickly this came together.
My Take:
- This would make sense after Sasha Banks was pulled from the show. They called an audible and brought back Becky,
2) Backstage Note On Becky Lynch (Part 2)
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Becky Lynch is considered to be a heel in WWE. She is going to be the top heel on the blue brand moving forward.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple WWE sources that Becky Lynch is now a heel.
Yes, you read that correctly.
We are told that going forward, Lynch will be positioned as the top heel on Smackdown, initially feuding with Bianca Belair.
My Take:
- I am not sure about this. I don’t want to boo Becky. I want to cheer her. Interested to see how this works.
