Rumor Roundup: The Plan For Cody Rhodes In WWE, Wrestlemania Tradition Not Happening This Year? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Wrestlemania Tradition Not Happening This Year?

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE might not do the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 38.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

There has been no talk of either a men’s or women’s Battle Royal for those on the roster not booked. There are not a lot of women on the roster who are ready to fill a Battle Royal, but there are more than enough men. The last we heard about the Andre the Giant men’s Battle Royal was a few weeks ago, and at the time it was probably going to take place on the 4/1 Smackdown show in Dallas, although there had been a possibility of it being on the 3/28 Raw in Pittsburgh.

My Take:

  • I do like the battle royal. I am fine with it happening on RAW or Smackdown though.

4) Backstage Note On Wrestlemania 38 Weekend

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE originally had plans for the NWO to appear on Wrestlemania 38 weekend for a promotional appearance for WWE 2K22. This was prior to Scott Hall’s passing.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

Ahead of Scott Hall’s passing, Fightful heard that WWE had planned to bring in him and other members of the New World Order to WrestleMania weekend for a promotional spot for their new WWE 2K22 game.

My Take:

  • We miss you Scott! I hope we see a nice tribute to him at ‘Mania.
