Rumor Roundup: The Plans For The Reigns-Lesnar Feud, Elias’ New Gimmick, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Note On Johnny Gargano & Kyle O’Reilly’s Future

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), many in WWE are operating under the assumption that Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly won’t be around WWE after this week.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

We’re told that many within the company are operating on the assumption that neither man will be around after this week. Both have been offered multi-year deals and were brought to Smackdown a couple of weeks ago, and it has been communicated to both men that the company wants to retain their services.

Some talent we spoke to said they personally weren’t giving their farewells to the two just yet, because they expect to see both men backstage at Tuesday’s NXT. It was not specified if they’re booked for this week’s NXT, but one source high up within WWE indicated to Fightful that their “worst case scenario” looked like even if they re-signed both, one would take some time off. The prevailing belief among those we spoke to is that they expect both contracts to expire, and at least one to outright leave the company after exploring their options.

My Take:

  • I see Gargano re-signing with WWE. I see O’Reilly going to AEW. Those are my predictions but we will have to wait and see.

4) WWE Bringing Back Reality Show?

According to Wrestling INC, WWE recently filed to trademark ‘Tough Enough’.

While nothing has been confirmed, it appears as if WWE is at least considering bringing the show back.

My Take:

  • I liked Tough Enough, so I would definitely watch.
