Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Scrapped Plans For Money In The Bank
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Sonya Deville was originally planned for the Money in the Bank ladder match several months ago. This didn’t end up happening.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
During the revolving door that was the Smackdown roster around Money in the Bank in July, we can confirm that WWE actually had graphics made featuring Deville as a Money in the Bank competitor. Of course, that didn’t end up happening.
My Take:
- I am interested to see what WWE is going to do with Sonya. Are they going to keep her in the role that she is currently in where she only wrestles every once in a while? Or, will they ever bring her back to wrestling weekly? We will have to wait and see.
4) Backstage Note On Sami Zayn
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are rumors that Sami Zayn has re-signed with WWE. This comes after the news that Kevin Owens has re-signed with WWE.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
There has also been locker room talk that Sami Zayn (Rami Sebei, 37) did (re-sign) as well, but WWE sources have not confirmed Zayn having signed to us yet.
My Take:
- Interesting that first Kevin Owens and now Sami Zayn is apparently staying with WWE. I thought that at least one of them would jump to AEW.
