Rumor Roundup: WWE’s Plans For AJ Styles, Backstage Notes On WWE Day 1, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1 (Part 1)

@Wrestlevotes has provided some backstage notes on the WWE Day 1 PPV and the recent COVID-19 outbreak within the company.

Here is what the account Tweeted:

Regarding the availability of talent for this weekends Day 1 PPV, source told me this morning that if the show was tonight, multiple matches would have to be changed. Good thing the event isn’t until Saturday & WWE is hopeful they can keep the card as is. All fluid at this time.

My Take:

  • Hopefully the card is able to stay as is, as it looks pretty solid on paper.

4) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1 (Part 2)

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it is very important that Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman do not miss Day 1. This is because there is a big angle leading to Wrestlemania 38 that will be happening during the match between Roman and Brock.

Here is what Meltzer said:

I was essentially told it was very very important for WrestleMania that Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman do not miss this show. So, obviously there’s something big going on there.

My Take:

  • Seems like Heyman will be costing one of them the match. I am interested to see what happens.
