The 2025 edition of Summerslam will take place on August 1st and 2nd in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This page features my Summerslam predictions, where I take a stab at the matches that will happen and who will win as it gets closer.

WWE Summerslam Predictions 2026
Brock Lesnar vs Gunther
Brock Lesnar is from Minnesota, so maybe this event is where he officially retires from WWE? This was hinted from John Cena during a recent interview (and we don’t know if he was teasing or just guessing) but it would make sense since Brock is getting old. Brock went to the University of Minnesota, so this could be the perfect spot for him to hang up the boots.
As for opponents, it has to be Gunther right? Brock Lesnar vs Gunther is a match that fans have been asking for. Gunther has also been retiring legends over the past few years, so this feels like it makes too much sense.
Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins
I think we can assume Roman Reigns will be in a top match at this event. The question is, who will it be against?
I am going with Seth Rollins. We know the history they have and I think their next match should be saved for a big PPV event like Summerslam. Fans want to see it, especially with how much both have grown over the past several years.
One of the World titles being involved would make sense as well.
Rhea Ripley vs Iyo Sky
As of writing this, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky are aligned as a tag team. I don’t see them as a long term pairing though and see them splitting up at some point. Once they do split, I hope they save their eventual singles match for a big PPV event like Summerlslam.
Iyo and Rhea have a ton of in-ring chemistry. I think they would put on another classic match together. So I am predicting Iyo vs Rhea for one of the Women’s titles at this event. It also doesn’t need a title involved if one of them betrays the other.
Tiffany Stratton vs Liv Morgan
Tiffany Stratton is from Minnesota, so I think WWE will have her challenge for one of the Women’s Championships at this event. She is usually around the title picture anyways and the home state factor makes it feel like a no brainer for WWE.
It will depend on who is holding the Women’s titles at this point. As of now, I am going to guess that we get Tiffany Stratton vs Liv Morgan at this event. That is because I think Liv will be holding one of the Women’s titles at this point.
Cody Rhodes vs Bron Breakker
Cody Rhodes will be on this card. As of now, I am going to guess that he will be involved in a World title match.
I am going to predict that Rhodes faces off against Bron Breakker at this event. I feel like there is a fun storyline here, with both of their dads being pro-wrestling legends.
This would be a fun match.
