Chris Jericho was a guest on Busted Open Radio in order to promote his new book: ‘No Is a Four-Letter Word: How I Failed Spelling but Succeeded in Life’. He spoke on a wide variety of topics, including Enzo Amore joining the Cruiserweight division.
Jericho actually had the idea of putting Enzo on 205 Live several months before it happened. In an interview, he said that he thought Enzo would provide some star power for the division. As we know now, this came true.
Enzo vs Neville seems like the next program for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. While Enzo is great on the microphone, he isn’t exactly known for his skill inside of the ring.
Here is what Jericho says he told Neville about working with Enzo:
“I told Neville this months ago, I said, ‘There’s gonna come a time when you’re gonna have to make him look good, that’s the job of guys like you and me. It doesn’t matter if he’s good. That’s not his responsibility, that’s yours now. Neville’s gonna have to do anything he can to make that match work the same way that all the great workers in time do that.”
Some wisdom from Y2J. It doesn’t matter who your opponent is, you do your best to make them look good.
