This week on Smackdown Live, it was announced that both Lana and her husband Rusev had been moved from RAW over to the blue brand. Many fans have been confused because they were announced separately, with Lana getting her own vignette.
After receiving a number of questions about the topic, we thought that we would try to provide some clarification on the situation.
From all indications, Lana is coming to Smackdown Live to wrestle and not just as the valet to Rusev. We have noted prior that Rusev is currently out for a few months with a shoulder injury. Lana has been working some NXT live events over the past few weeks, working on her in-ring ability. Unless WWE is pulling an ‘Emmalina’ on Lana, it seems like she will be joining the Smackdown Women’s division.
