Eva Marie Releases Statement On Why She Violated The WWE Wellness Policy

As noted prior, Eva Marie was suspended 30 days for violating the WWE’s wellness policy on Thursday. This came only a day after fellow WWE stars: Paige and Alberto Del Rio were suspended. Eva Marie’s husband released a statement after the news broke to dispute her suspension. We now have some more details on what happened.

TMZ is reporting that Eva Marie tested positive for Adderall and therefore violated the WWE’s wellness policy. According to their report, she has a legit prescription from a doctor but she didn’t file the paperwork in time to the WWE. The WWE requires all of their athletes to go through the proper channels with their paperwork for the wellness policy.

Eva Marie released a statement to TMZ, saying the following:

“I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity. I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!” (Source: TMZ).

Interesting turn of events for sure. As we mentioned on Twitter, Eva Marie’s husband deleted all of his posts on social media disputing the suspension. TMZ’s report says Eva will be appealing her suspension.

We previously saw a similar situation earlier in the year with Adam Rose who violated the WWE wellness policy. He also publicly disputed his suspension and revealed he had an adderall prescription.
