Friendship The Magician was involved in the ‘Festival Of Friendship’ angle with Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho on the February 13th episode of RAW. He participated in a reddit AMA (ask me anything) after he appeared on RAW and answered a wide variety of questions about his experience appearing on RAW.
His name is James Kelsey and he is a real-life magician/ comedian based out of Vegas. Here were some of the highlights of the AMA with Friendship the Magician:
On working with Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens:
“Chris was great! Super fun, loose, high energy, ready for a great night. Kevin was fairly quiet and intense. He was very precise and wanted everything to be perfect. I really respected his work ethic”
How it feels to be a part of such a memorable segment:
“Crazy cool. I had no idea it was going to be so good and so well received”

On the WWE catering backstage:
“Great catering! They went all out. Other than that, pretty typical. Hard working crew, press team, and performers getting ready to do their best for you…. Everything. Chicken, ribs, fish & chips, sandwiches, desserts. Not like a high quality all you can eat buffet. But one you could pay 15 or 20 bucks for and feel really satisfied”
If the whole segment was rehearsed:
“Chris and I talked quite a bit, went through my blocking, etc. He’s the one who came up with the green scarf idea. We didn’t rehearse the whole thing, I just had a vague outline”
