Triple H was recently a guest on the Cheap Heat podcast hosted by Peter Rosenberg. During the interview he spoke on a wide variety of topics. We already covered Triple H’s thoughts on Kurt Angle wrestling again for WWE and now we move on to Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman was called up to the WWE main roster as a member of the Wyatt Family a few years ago. This came after he only had a handful of wrestling matches in his life (seriously).
Triple H would go on to explain the frustrations that Vince McMahon would have with Braun early on in his career. Here is what he said:
“There was a period of time where, I don’t know, [Braun] had been with us for a month or two after he debuted on the main roster, and he did something in the ring that Vince had just told him about, and had me talk to him about, and he did it again, and Vince looked at me and goes ‘what is the matter with this guy? Like, I don’t get it. Is he gonna make it? I don’t understand why he doesn’t get that. What is wrong with him?”
Triple H reminded Vince that he was still learning:
“And I looked at him go, ‘Vince, it’s like his 15th match. He’s trying to figure out what he’s doing. He’s lucky he got in the ring today.’ And he [Vince] looked right at me and he’s like ‘that’s a really great point, never mind”
Also, if you haven’t read the story about Vince McMahon chewing out Braun backstage, it is worth a laugh.
Triple H would also go on to say that he doesn’t know the plan for Braun Strowman at Wrestlemania 33. He does say that there are big plans for Braun in the future for the company and he has progressed very well.
