There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Roman Reigns rise as the top guy in the WWE. Some fans think he is being pushed down their throats as the top babyface and haven’t accepted him. This is why you have been hearing mixed reactions for Roman Reigns from fans during live events. Some fans cheer him and really enjoy him but others boo him every time he appears or is mentioned during WWE programming.
On episode 108 of the Ross Report with Jim Ross, WWE Hall of Famer, Hacksaw Jim Duggan spoke about Roman Reigns, saying:
“They’re pushing him down the folks’ throat. I mean, they’re pushing him too hard. It’s a different business nowadays. They just seem to be pushing him too hard. Take your time.”
It wasn’t all negative though, he did mention that Roman Reigns certainly has the potential to be the top guy in the company:
“To be that marquee guy for WWE, you’ve got to have a certain kind of look and he’s a handsome guy, good body, a lot of teeth. He’s got that marquee type [of] appeal if the people accept him. How do you do that? I can’t tell you. You can’t coach that. It’s something that some people have.”

This correlates with Jim Ross who said last week that he just thinks Roman Reigns has been miscast as the top guy at such an early stage of his career.
