According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), there have been discussions within WWE officials about Samoa Joe getting a big push once he gets called up to the main roster. This big push would mean that Joe would be in one of the top matches on the card for Wrestlemania 33.
If this were to be the case, we can speculate that Samoa Joe will likely be making his WWE debut in this years Royal Rumble match. It has been rumored for the past few months that Joe would likely be used as a surprise entrant this year, which would be his official call-up to the main roster.

This would suggest that Joe could possibly be the Royal Rumble winner and get to choose what title he wants to compete for. How great would Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles be at Wrestlemania for the WWE World Title? (but that is only me fantasy-booking). If he doesn’t win the match but still enters, expect him to make a big impact and rack up some eliminations. WWE is going to want him to look strong in his debut.
