As noted prior, fans likely won’t see Brock Lesnar defend the WWE Universal Championship until the Great Balls of Fire Pay-Per-View in July. After not appearing at the recent Payback event, he is also not advertised for Extreme Rules in June.
It is still possible that Brock could appear at Extreme Rules, but as of right now, he won’t be wrestling a match.
When Brock does finally defend his title, who will it be against?
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Braun Strowman is the likely first opponent for Brock at Great Balls of Fire. If this match does happen, it will also lead to a likely rematch at Summerslam the month after.
WWE has been pushing Braun Strowman to the moon as of late. He is currently involved in a feud with Roman Reigns and it is rumored that the two will face off for a third time at the Extreme Rules event. Strowman vs Brock was teased by WWE after Wrestlemania when they went face to face in the ring. Strowman eventually backed away but it was clear that they would see each other again.

Brock vs Braun will be interesting as it features two complete monsters. It will be a physical match to say the least.
