Kalisto was recently acquired by Monday Night RAW in the ‘Superstar Shake-Up’. He is moving from Smackdown Live, where he hasn’t been featured all that much since the WWE Draft. His most notable work was his feud with Baron Corbin late in 2016.
What does the future have in store for Kalisto now that he has been given a fresh start on Monday Night’s?
We know that the Lucha Dragons won’t be reforming as a tag-team because Sin Cara was moved in the ‘Shake-Up’ over to Smackdown Live.
According to rumors, WWE might have switched over Kalisto to RAW in order to have him join the Cruiserweight division/ 205 Live roster.
Kalisto to the Cruiserweight division was teased in the past at Survivor Series where he faced off against Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Title. Baron Corbin eventually interfered in the match, giving Kalisto the disqualification win.
The idea is that a move for Kalisto would not only give the Cruiserweight division another big name but it would help him in the long-run. Neville’s current run in the division has done wonders for him and has really come into his own over the past few months. Kalisto would be given a weekly platform to showcase his in-ring ability.
